Dedication & Appreciation
The parishioners of Church of the Risen Savior are forever grateful to the John D. Valentine family for their heartfelt contribution to make Valentine Hall a special place in God’s Kingdom. A commemorative plaque is lovingly displayed in the Main Entrance to Valentine Hall which states:
This beautiful shrine to Our Lady of Sorrows, set in the pastoral beauty of Starkenburg rolling hills, is part of our family’s story and is close to our hearts. We cherish this place and the grace that abounds here. We pray with you that Valentine Hall will be a place of refuge, strength and love as we journey together through all life’s joys and sorrows.
With our gratitude and love, we offer this gift that has made a dream into a wonderful reality. We dedicate Valentine Hall in memory of John D. Valentine, a profoundly devoted and loving husband and father. As we remember John, we honor all fathers, particularly those who died before they could see their children develop into adults they would be proud of. May God’s light shine in your hearts and ours.
